Handsel is built on neighbourhood hosts — pantries for tinned goods, fridges for fresh, freezers for long-shelf-life. If you have spare capacity, a quiet patch and a Tuesday-morning window, we want to hear from you.

Apply with the form below, or read the rest of the page first. A member of the Handsel team reviews every application within 48 hours and replies from the same address customers receive receipts from.

What we need from you:

  1. Your full name + a contact number (held privately — never shown publicly)
  2. Your street address + postcode so we can verify your patch
  3. Storage type (pantry, fridge or freezer) and capacity in items or kilograms
  4. A proof-of-address photo and up to three photo URLs of the shelf
  5. A short ‘why you’d like to host’ blurb about your storage
  6. A tick to confirm you have read the host terms

Pick the storage type

Three ways to host.

You can apply for more than one type later, but the first application sets the storage you keep stock in. Each comes with its own capacity rules: pantry hosts describe stock in items, fridge and freezer hosts describe it in kilograms.

Pantry

Tinned / dry goods / packaged items. Capacity described in items. Customers pick orders off the shelf.

Fridge

Fresh produce, dairy, ready meals. Capacity in kilograms. Riders work a small list per visit.

Freezer

Frozen meals, ice, long-shelf-life. Capacity in kilograms. Stock turnaround is slow but predictable.

Sign in first if you can — applications are tied to your account, and signing in lets us send you a reference id you can use whenever you email us. Your details stay private; we don't subscribe you to anything or share your address with a third party.

What happens next.

The window is small — 48 hours — and a real person is on the other end of it. There is no instant-approval flow; every host we onboard goes through the same checks so the pilot stays safe for everyone.

  1. Step 1

    You get a reference id

    A short code like HA-XXXX-XXXX — useful if you email us so we can find your application quickly.

  2. Step 2

    A real human reviews it

    Anti-fraud referral + a postcode check so we know your patch is in the pilot area. Optional phone callback if anything is unclear.

  3. Step 3

    You go live in the admin console

    Once approved your profile shows up on /send and /orders for customers in your patch — the system does the rest.
